Good in the Beginning...Bad in the End Birchwood Village is a very nice area in Brea and very close to Walmart, Albertson's, 24 hour fitness, and downtown Brea. It is a gated community (does not necessarily mean safe) with nice amentities. I would say it 50% families and 25% college students, 25% living on own. Seems pretty safe, but there have been car break ins. Not much noise at night. When I first got there, they were very nice and very helpful.
