Birchwood Apartments is a fantastic company and has an excellent and dedicated management team. We really enjoy interacting with such a devoted hands-on management team. Nothing but positive comments to provide and we highly recommend this company. 5 stars!

Unscrupulous manager asked us to move from unit 108 to the manager's unit after she was moved to another property by the owner. Said she didn't want it to smell like curry (most residents are Indian). Our rent was raised and so was that for the new tenants of 108. Later she had us sign a back dated rental agreement to include nuisances. Weeks later she claimed neighbors were complaining about our dog and gave us notice to vacate even though we'd lived at that complex for over 5 years without incident. In 6 years this complex has deteriorated physically and administratively from the nicest on the street to the worst due to neglect and mismanagement. The current manager, whose inattentiveness to matters requiring her attention is frustrating enough, is also responsible for managing other properties for the owners, making her oftentimes unavailable. Neighborhood's most visibly neglected property doesn't justify cost for tenant Limited parking means leaving additional cars on street where they're subject to potential vandalism and/or break in No washer/dryer hook ups in units Property is not up to par with Fremont's downtown redevelopment project.
