Birchcrest came out last week to trim the trees near the power lines in our neighborhood. I believe RG&E contracted them for this project. The experience was, quite frankly, absolutely unacceptable. The pruning itself was reckless. Two of my backyard trees were cut far beyond what any reasonable power-line clearance standard would require. The Birchcrest crew did an outstanding job. They took down a +- 60 foot cherry tree that had snapped at the base and was stuck in another tree of equal size, but due to the fact that there were power lines underneath them in my yard they had to take it down from the parking lot behind us. The first days crew cut and chipped the multiple smaller branches, the next days crew cut the rest up and dropped it in my yard which I wanted. We had two routine spring fertilizing and boxwood protection. Technicians informed me when they would arrive, showed up on time, did a great job of the applications. Very good service.
