I had to come back like a handful of times before I could actually donate just because of the safety precautions like making sure my veins were healthy enough that the needle wouldn’t blow them out, (come to find I only have 1 thick enough vein) gotta be hydrated enough(lots of water the day before & day of), then during my physical they found the bump that was left by my shot, so I had to get a fax from my doctor explaining that so they could make sure it wasn’t anything that could affect myself or anybody else. Never been there to donate yet but I heard they are one of the last few centers that will still let you donate if you only have one good arm with veins. Does anyone know of that is true? Thank you in advance!
I had a very good start with them. I believe they are good until something happens. I had an arm injury due to someone, actually 2 of the phlebotomist caused. I am not sure if 2 phlebotomist is supposed to handle the situation. Anyway, during donation the first one kept digging my arm over and over as she stated "I don't know if this is right", if it was not enough, she called a second one to readjust the needle, which the girl did the exact same thing, kept digging over and over while stating "well not sure if this is right... read more
The main manager here does not have good customer service. Everytime I come in she is very passive aggressive with the employees. I came to donate and the cuffs were not calibrated correctly causing issues with the readings. I repeatedly asked if they can use a different cuff since the previous customer had the same issue. They refused. Most likely because it is close to closing time and they are any to minimize the amount of donors coming in. MULTIPLE times there has been issues with the cuffs at this location.
