I've donated at 3 centers total. One center in Kent, one in Fed Way (neither are Biolife) and I've donated at Biolife in Tukwila. Biolife is by far the best center I've been too. It's the nicest & cleanest building, the beds have built in outlets and the staff gets you in & out quick. Plus, Biolife goes by appointments only which you schedule from their app which helps the place not get slammed & helps you get in and out quick. very kind, friendly staff. very clean center. well rewarded for my time, especially as a new donor. and my process was very speedy for my first appointment, in and out in a little over 2 hours. i will be coming back. definitely like biolife a lot (as a former csl donor), highly recommend. i will say, bring headphones, the machines are loud.
Love BioLife in general but this facility is a problem. Beautiful facility, but it took me 1 hour and 20 minutes JUST TO GET A BED (no exaggeration). That's not including the actual donation. There were no issues with check-in, or with getting my vitals checked; there's just way too many people here and not enough stations. And the line behind me is longer than when I arrived. Slow environment. Only one type of music piping thru the system that appeals mainly to one demographic, not mine. A few employees a little bossy . Still waiting to get to my seat. Improved later
During my visit, I was pulled aside by a nurse who stated that staff had noticed body odor and I was told to leave and reschedule. While I fully respect the importance of hygiene for donors, the way this situation was handled was unprofessional and unnecessarily humiliating.
