The experience donating is awesome but the process is a pain in the butt!! And they are low on staff so it's been taking almost 4 hours to get out of there after my 5th donation now..would appreciate a faster process 👍🏼
I like donating, but can only donate very early morning, first thing. However, some employees come late and it causes a long waiting time. I can’t afford to wait when I work hard to get an early appt. Also, the center is often understaffed, causing more delays.
I’ve donated plasma at other centers without any problems, but this is the first place where I’ve had experiences like this—and honestly, it’s unreal. I’ve donated here five times, and on four of those visits the staff struggled to find a vein, leaving me feeling like a pin cushion. On my fifth visit, the phlebotomist inserted the needle but didn’t secure the line properly, which caused the needle to come out and blood to spill onto the floor. Prepare to wait for at least 45 minutes to an hour after your set appointment time before you can even start your donation.
It sucks because I love the people here but the wait times are insane. You can't get in and out within even two hours and my appt was at 1005. If you can head to the San Marcos location as they seem to have WAY more employees and a way better set up for not having customers wait literally forever. Edit: I thought I loved most of their employees but Sammi(I think is how you spell it) was very rude to me today!
