I grew up in Meridian and when I returned home, I wanted soul food I remembered when growing up. Binke's met and exceeded expectations. We arrived just as they were opening and the food was hot, fresh and delicious. Large portion sized and reasonably priced. The service was absolutely EXCELLENT! The owner previously worked with my mother and guests knew family members. 💜
I rarely leave negative reviews, but the customer service at Binke’s was very disappointing enough that it deserves to be addressed. From the moment I walked in, it felt like the staff simply didn’t want to be there. I waited several minutes before anyone acknowledged me, even though the restaurant wasn’t busy. When I was finally ready to order, my server barely spoke, didn’t smile, and acted as if taking my order was an inconvenience to him.
