Scheduling and confirming the inspection was easy and prompt. Chuck at BiltRite was very thorough, professional, and communicative! He kept us informed of findings during the inspection then went back through each issue at the end. He showed us photos and articulated each issue (fortunately there were not many) so we understood the problem and how it could be resolved. I was surprised by the poor service of BiltRite as I had heard good things about them. Here is a list of things that the inspector missed: most cabinets not aligned and closing, most interior doors not closing, bath tub drain not sealed (tub doesn't work!), shower glass not sealed (leaks water everywhere), toilet was not glued down. These are related to new add-ons to a renovated home, so it is not due to age of the home.
Find another inspector. If you want a friendly person to converse with for 1.5-2 hours call them and have Michael come out- great guy, but if you want your home actually inspected call someone else. Missed double lugging on electrical panel, missed electrical box missing ground, missed water heater being properly grounded, missed dryer vent being operable and also out of code (flex hose).
