My husband and I came to Maine for a night get away and was recommended to come to Billy’s by our hotel receptionist. We were promptly seated on a Saturday evening, which was a shock! Great waitress, Amy. She was very friendly and informative of the food. We got margaritas, which were pretty good. I got the calamari for an app, my husband got the bucket of clams - excellent. Amazing food and service. My husband had the clam chowder which was chock full of clams. He's not used to really good clam chowder ! He said it was the best. Service was excellent, we had a very personable server, Laura, she was amazing. HIghly recommend this restaurant.
Annual Fall weekend BFF trip and we chose Wells ME. I bragged and bragged Billy's up as my BFF had never been there. Was SO disappointed and embarassed. I guess because there were just two of us we got a very small table up against the wall. Her order of a baked seafood platter was more of a mini individual casserole dish than a platter. Buck a shuck and THE BEST fish chowder! Great location, great drink specials, and fantastic food!
Everyone was very nice! We had a wonderful lunch food came out fast since we had our daughter. Everything was great. We will go back
Best shrimp tacos ever! Great steamers and the beer was cold!
Ate there yesterday, seated immediately, asked if we wanted a table or booth.We both had clam chowder and the special of the day, baked Haddock, baked potato and green beans, it was delicious. The meal was cooked perfectly. Waitress was very attentive and very sociable. The Bloody Mary's where scrumptious. We love Billy's Chowder House and will be back in a few weeks.
Always great!!! We travel over an hour a few times a year to enjoy the bar...food and company!!
Great food and service...Had a very pleasant experience and would highly recommend it. Would go back.
