RecommendedThe customer service is always amazing. The prices are fair for all the services we have had done and the repairs are quick. Also, the way they include kids in the purchase of a bike for them is amazing! I am glad that Grinnell has a bike shop like this in our town!
I had an amazing experience, the owners and their staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I am a rookie just starting out and they took the time to find the right size, style of bike and to teach my how the gears work along with test driving the bike. They want to make sure they get you in the right bike and everything adjusts correctly so you will love it. I highly recommend them for your biking needs.
Great people. Had a flat tire on ragbrai but only $20 in my pocket. The owner fixed the flat, told me I’d need the money before getting to the host town and to just stop by then to pay. More concerned about my safety than getting the money. I always try to pick up some gear there every year.
Highly recommend! Started with a phone call, received great information over the phone about available options for bmx bikes. Davis provided excellent customer when we arrived at the shop to look at the available selection. He answered all of my sons questions, and provided great recommendations for future upgrades. Called these nice folks about trading in a bike that was a little big for me and they had me hooked up with a perfect bike for me in less than an hour .
Decades of experience, unmatched knowledge. If you are in central Iowa, this is the only place to go. They will not sell you, they simply love to talk cycling-on or off road. Can’t say it enough, love these guys!
Very unethical. On RAGBRAI they volunteered two suggestions for bike improvements (unsolicited). When I asked how much, they quoted $7 for one and $10 for the other. I also had a battery installed in my odometer. In the end I expected to pay $20, yet was charged $49 because of labor charges. I clearly asked for price quotes, they deceptively omitted labor costs from the quote. I would never have accepted the upgrades had they been honest in the first place. If you value integrity in business transactions, go elsewhere.
What a nice shop! So friendly and helpful! Even though there is a bike shop in newton where I’m from I will always come back to Bikes to you! They provided me with exceptional service! When the local shop in newton acted as though they didn’t want or need my business! Thank you Bikes to you!
My brother and I decided to meet in Grinnell, our hometown for a bike ride. Luckily stopped at bike shop and Marty fixed several important things on both bikes. Thanks so much Marty. Will drive 120 miles again for bike maintenance.
