You guys at Bike n Hike are the best! I was 30 miles away from home and my rear cassette was falling apart on my Ultegra Flight Deck Caad8 Cannondale. I found the only bike shop in Hillsboro; Bike n Hike, and just hoped they would point me to the right tool to buy & fix my bike, but instead the mechanic on duty put my bike on the stand, took the wheel off, tightened the cassett up and pointed me to the tools needed to round off my home collection. I bought the tools, a shop logo water bottle, and a new \$55 lock for my racin... read more

My wife wanted a bike but is not a hardcore biker and we are not of the snobbish so called "Portland Bike Community" that wont talk to you unless you have a soul patch, calf tatoo, and messenger bag. Bike n Hike was the first (and only) place that not only acknowledged us when we came in, but really helped us find the right bike for her. They took a great deal of time making sure that my wife had something that was comfortable for her. A+++ for helpful customer service and A+++ for good value.

Went to this store on a sunday looking for a free wheel for a set of GT rims that cost me a arm and a leg. Young bicycle mechanic sends me back to vancouver with the wrong part and the wrong free wheel remover. I drive back with my rim on my day off and a seemingly more knowledgeable mechanic offers to exchange for the correct one and install it for me. He had a problem getting it on the rim and then tells me something is wrong with my rim after he couldnt get the free wheel on. I leave thinking my rims threads werent correc... read more
