photographer/educator/curator As a professional in the field for 25 years, I have found Biggs to be an incredible resource for high end digital printing and all kinds of camera equipment. They have consistently been extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and upbeat! Charlotte is lucky to have them!
Best photo shop in charlotte I have been shopping at Biggs Camera for several years now. When I started I had never owned a camera and now consider myself a pretty good photographer. I feel that I owe a lot of this to the staff at Biggs. They have always been very helpful and put up with a lot of my silly questions. I highly recommend them for anything photographic. They really are the best photo store in Charlotte!
Horrible When I was a student living in Charlotte, I brought in about 50 rolls of film to be developed that I took while on a trip to China with my college. I asked if I could get a discount on the developing because I was a student and had so many rolls and not only did they laugh at me (two employees) but they told me that if I couldn't afford it, I should go somewhere else. Camera store This camera store is located near downtown Charlotte off a very busy road. They sell some cameras but have a limited stock. They have darkroom items as well as used equipment. I have not used their developing so I can not comment on that. Overall the store is small and feels very unorganized and a little cluttered.
Unsurpassed care + processing I am an avid amateur photographer and do not like to get my pictures processed a chains, where some machine processes pictures in bulk.
