Big T said he wanted to cook for us like we were family and let me tell you, that man loves his family! The chicken was seasoned and tender, falling off the bone. The mac and cheese was cheesy with just the right crisp on top. The collard greens had to be soaking all day for that flavor. Paired with the cornbread and some candied yams. It felt Sunday and Thanksgiving dinner on a Monday night. I was only visiting the area but I can’t wait to go back.
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Mr. T is very friendly as well has his wife. The fried fish was delicious; the cornbread felt like had just left the oven. Everything made with a lot of love and soul.
WOW! This did not disappoint. I absolutely love soul food and I have not had soul food this good outside of the south. This is real, authentic and delicious. They make the food when you order, so plan and order in advance or just sit back and enjoy the atmosphere and warm generous hospitality that emanates from the owner and his wife. Big T’z has a calm, peaceful, and welcoming atmosphere. The food was excellent, and the owners were incredibly friendly and hospitable. It truly felt like a family-oriented establishment, making the overall experience enjoyable and memorable. 10/10 would recommend.
