GUESTS BEWARE This gym is deceptive with their 24 hours. It’s a joke they advertise 24 hours but fail to mention that’s only for members clearly. You pay 10 dollars for a day pass just to find out later that you can’t redeem it unless they are staffed. Just when we tried this morning there were 4 other people who were played by this deception. It’s really clean and calm, the weights are calibrated so that’s nice too. The vibe is nice and encouraging and the front desk girl was really helpful and friendly when helping set up an account.
Super friendly and helpful staff, great atmosphere
Big Tex Gym has always been one of my favorite places to work out when I visit family in Austin. The facility consistently provides a great environment, which is why this particular experience was disappointing for me. During my visit on March 4, 2026, I overheard a conversation between two of the three managers working at the front desk.
