If you’re looking to get strong or build a competitive aesthetic, this gym is the place to be. BT has all of the equipment needed to move the needle on your PRs, especially if you’re a power lifter. Staff is amazing, the regulars make everything feel like a community. We have all gone to meets together and really push each other. One of the best things to happen to me since my move to Austin.
Big Tex is awesome. Not too crowded at peak hours, staff are extremely helpful and friendly, fellow members are extremely helpful and friendly, broken equipment is repaired in a timely fashion, excellent machine selection if you’re serious about body building. Only complaint is that there is not a designated locker room but there are multiple bathrooms available to change into gym clothes. Not your typical commercial gym at all. Truly a hidden gem.

Big Tex is GOATED🐐🔥 very great staff they remember you and what you talked about like 2 weeks ago and are able to keep up with all the members so it’s great to have people that care and even check up on you. I always feel welcome and you’ll only ever get support in here. Lots of kilogram plates to go around which is a huge bonus. A huge variety of equipment so I can hit everything I want and how I want and being 24/7 with a shower is extremely convenient and it’s not a raggedy shower either I’d go to crunch and the floors ... read more
