Great Bakery What a great place for a Good Bakery. The view in Big Sur is breath taking. The winding road down the coast highway. It is a treat to be able to get some great baked goods when you are traveling.
A little dissapointing My husband and I had dinner here while on our anniversary trip, and we had high expectations. Unfortunately, they were not met. Everything was good, just not spectacular. The prices were a bit high for what we got. I probably won't be back.
Most places in Big Sur are a little expensive because of it's remote location. However, this bakery has some of the best sandwiches in Big Sur. The coffee is strong, flavourful and worth every cent. They have a lovely patio and indoor seating too. The staff is super polite and helpful.

great food, nice atmosphere, a little expensive, a little pretentious. – All the restaurants in Big Sur are expensive. Expect to spend $100 on dinner for two people, and this was no exception. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and is well decorated, but we got this weird sort of pretentious vibe from the host and a little from the waitress. the bottom of the menu even has some slogan about "no fake allergies" that I'm guessing is supposed to be a fun statement, but just seems negative for a restaurant's credo. Great pancakes! – Stop by for a to go coffee, pastery or desert. Great brunch - pancakes are amazing. The only downside is the cost to eat there. However, every place in the area is just as expensive. Best value in the area. Great friendly service.
awesome – This rustic bistro serves some of the finest food in California, and at a reasonable price. If I'm driving through Big Sur, it is #1 on my list. Favorites include roast chicken, duck, and their extraordinary homemade bread.
