Long walk lol
It's very beautiful! You will have to walk about 1.5 to 1.8 mile walk to make it to the light house. If windy the walk will be more interesting & slower.
This place is so cool. I'm so grateful it's still preserved and a part of history. If you need a quiet place to get inspired, this is the place.
Wonderful hike to a very tall picturesque lighthouse situated right on a large beach. It's a 3 to 3.5 mile hike pending where you're able to park. The trail is wide, flat and easy to walk on the sand (at least it was during the winter). As with many if not all Lake Michigan beaches (in the lower peninsula) it would make for some splendid sunset pictures and a great place for a picnic lunch with the family.
