The Custers were so gracious, hospitable, accommodating, and genuinely compassionate to our family when my father passed away last August. They invited us to use their beautiful facility to have a luncheon following my father's funeral -- at no charge! These are wonderful people who, I believe, have been led by the Lord to serve others through Big Oak Meadows. Our family will never forget their act of kindness and love!
I have held 2 retreats here and have another one scheduled for the fall. The owners are amazing and so pleasurable to work with. The grounds are beautiful and the atmosphere is so peaceful. There's plenty of room. It's comfortable to sleep over. The kitchen is fully stocked and there's a working fireplace in the big meeting room that sets a cozy atmosphere. I highly recommend this retreat center for overnight retreats or events as well as any kind of shower or day event.
My sister had my nephew’s graduation open house at Big Oak Meadows. It was an absolutely divine location for this event. Plenty of room and a fully accommodating kitchen made it a breeze. Plus the location is on a huge farm with lots of room for corn hole tournaments and play area for the kids. I highly recommend this affordable venue for any party event you may have.
We have had our church retreat there and have one coming up. Just wonderful, beautiful setting and building. Noelle and family are wonderful. We look forward to this every year.
