I decided to try Big John’s today because it's in such a nice area and plaza, but the experience was a total letdown. I wasn’t greeted when I walked in, and the hygiene of the place was honestly concerning. The counters weren't wiped down, and the staff looked completely unkempt, like they just rolled out of bed and started cooking. The bathrooms were even worse—nasty and clearly hadn't been cleaned in a while. Watching the prep of steak without the use of gloves is disgusting. When handling food, they need to be more sanitary.
This was an average sandwich for us. The bread to meat ratio was off and very little cheese on my steak and cheese. As a to go sandwich it was fine.
Good food and the person that took my order at the register was very friendly.
