I used to love stopping by Big John Steak & Onions whenever I was in Saginaw — it was one of those spots I genuinely looked forward to for a good steak sandwich. Unfortunately, the service and quality have gone downhill over time. It seems like mostly younger staff are running things now, and both the food and the customer service have suffered. Maybe it's just me and nostalgia but I LOVE Big John's. I get it every time I'm in Michigan. The super steak with cheese and peppers is the way to go. Honesty I've had many cheeses cheesesteaks that were nicer but nothing quite hits like this place. A bit run down but always fast and always great.
