Me and one of my sons were there July 25th as first timers ........ we noticed our truck just pulled in following the smoky smell. Absolutely fantastic BBQ and we very quickly put this little jewel as our #1 place to eat in Monroe county. (Maybe Alabama) PERIOD. Can’t wait to go back GOD bless this family and their fine food oh Yeah...... 🦅War Dang Eagles🦅 (until the Iron Bowl)

Our Cub Scout pack from Daphne Alabama had our big family camp out and crossover ceremony at a park in Atmore. We had Big D’s bring us an 84 pound whole roasted pig along with sides of mac & cheese, the potato casserole, baked beans and fruit. They also brought 2 gallons of their own BBQ sauce. Food was delicious and everyone loved it! On top of that, the people were very helpful and friendly throughout. Food was delicious! Service was awesome and didn't take long to get our order. I had the chicken plate with potato salad and banana pudding. The banana pudding was amazing, might drive back just for it. :)
Big D has great food! Steaks are the best and they always have some kind of homemade cakes and pies that are scrumptious!!
The food is absolutely delicious. The ribs and pulled pork are cooked perfect and the Brunswick stew is to die for! their baked beans are soo good and everything is very reasonaly priced and definitely more then enough food for your money.
Stopped today on our way back to Pensacola, the pork egg rolls were amazing. We will make sure to stop next time we are going through Monroeville. Good job Big D's
