Soooo Glad A Customer Recommended This ONE! – Was visiting from St. Louis [Oct. 2010] - honey, we didn't need ambiance; we needed to EAT. Whoever makes the smothered pork chops and the pound cake did an outstanding job. I was impressed how one guy didn't have enough money and was NOT told he had to put a side item back . . . that's usually how it goes in STL. It's all about soul food domination at this southwest Atlanta institution. – In Short Some places get a steady stream of patrons with fancy furniture and nice napkins. Others get folks with perfectly-seasoned turkey wings and collard greens that taste better than your grandma's. Love the Peach Cobbler – Big Daddy's has very good soul food. There is no ambience whatsoever. But you will be too busy eating your fried chicken, collard greens, mashed potatoes, peach cobbler, and red velvet cake to notice your surroundings.
