This is a really cute place, I had high hopes based on the reviews and menu but the food was really bland for barbecue and I would not eat it again. Turkey was good but turkey is turkey and pretty much always edible. The kids chicken strips were insanely crispy - near burned, the asparagus were deeply charred which I love but nobody else I was with did. We got the platter so we could try a little of everything. This was our 1st visit. I was pleasantly surprised. I say this because food in Midlothian is usually mid at best. The menu choices are so different, yet thoughtful. The food was amazing. I had the brisket nachos-they were life changing, lol. My friend had the fire bomb chicken & it was awesome. The atmosphere is very relaxing & the service was top notch. We got the sampler, it did not look like the ones in the other reviews. HEB has way better barbecue. There old fashion was very basic and their margaritas were not good. We came at 2:30pm on friday and the server was not attentive. Btw, there was hardly anyone in there as well.
