I'm not sure who recommended and rated their Gluten Free items, because I'm absolutely NOT IMPRESSED! My husband paid $50 for a 7 inch, two layer carrot cake for my nursing school graduation. It had the thinnest, flattest, driest layers with more frosting than ever necessary to give the appearance of a thick cake. I forced myself to choke down two small slices and threw the rest away! Big City Small World Bakery is an absolute gem in Ann Arbor for coffee and pastry lovers. The owner of the bakery, Scott Newell, grows a lot of his own ingredients, and the ones that he doesn't are locally sourced. Every time I come back to visit, I look forward to visiting! Thanks for the great experiences Scott!
Lots of vegan options and delicious pastries! They're also great at seasonal treats.
