Had a phenomenal experience at Lincoln Park Big City Optical. When I arrived, I was warmly greeted by the staff and promptly taken care of. Danie, Summer, Rudy, and John all went above and beyond in their customer experience. They were thoroughly involved and bring such great energy into this space. I came here just to check out the prices for frames and contacts and when the prices seemed higher than what I was used to, I said that I would need a moment to do some research and text a few people and see what other options I had. The person at the front desk kept pressuring me to purchase from them and interrupting me when I said I needed some time to think about it. Turns out that the contacts here would've cost me 5x what another location was charging.
There are so many choices when choosing an optical provider - this is one I would not recommend. They included a retinal exam not covered by insurance without sharing that. It felt sneaky and a way to maximize their revenue without considering the client. Additionally, I wanted to buy frames elsewhere and requested that they email my prescription and they never did. I previously went to Warby Parker and will definitely be back after this experience.
This was my first time coming to Big City Optical and it was such a smooth, seamless process! Dr. Tamulavichus was excellent. I felt very welcome and will definitely be back.
