I had a great experience with the optometrist during my eye exam, but I was extremely disappointed with the front desk staff. After paying for my eye exam through my insurance (VSP), I requested my pupillary distance (PD) so I could purchase glasses elsewhere. The staff refused, stating I could only get this information if I bought glasses from them. I cannot say enough good things about the staff at Big City Optical. I had just arrived in the city for a 3-day work conference when one of the nose pad on my glasses broke, leaving them unwearable. In a bit of a panic, I rushed over and found they were just locking the doors for the night. I knocked and waited for a second. The three wonderful ladies that were getting ready to close the shop didn't hesitate to unlock the door and help me, even though they were already off the clock. I had a great experience at this clinic! The service was excellent, and the staff was very caring and attentive. They helped me choose the perfect frames for my glasses with a detailed and professional consultation. Everyone was so kind and paid attention to every little detail. Highly recommend!
