While this hotel's location is great, our stay was marked by several issues. I called three days before our arrival to modify our reservation and add an extra night. We confirmed the price and all seemed set. However, upon arrival, I was informed at check-in that our reservation for that night was missing from the system, despite our earlier confirmation. The front desk clerk offered us a different rate, claiming the discrepancy and missing reservation was due to an error made by a new employee. Our troubles didn’t end there... read more

This place was probably the worst place we've ever stayed. The photos are nothing like actual conditions. Their "beach" is sand on the edge of the parking lot. The bed felt like a sheet over a pile of toilet rolls. The fireplace was in the " kitchen ", no shelves in the fridge, and no coffee pot. TV didn't work the first 2 nights. Dead rodent smell in the hallway. Rooms furnished with garage sale mismatched furniture. Nothing enhances a lake view like chicken wire balcony railing. No AC. I honestly don’t know why this place gets bad reviews. I was worried after I booked it and went back and read the reviews. But we are definitely coming back to this place every summer. We will rent a boat next time since the marina is so close. The rooms have everything you need. Plenty of parking and the docks to the lakes are steps away. We loved the location! The room had a cute cabin feel and decoration with bears/wildlife theme. Only thing to improve is add more towels. We were a party of 4 but there were only 2 towels ... read more

We had an amazing stay at Big Bear Lakefront Lodge! The rooms were spacious, clean, and offered serene views of the lake. The private beach with docks was perfect for fishing, boating, and paddleboarding. The staff, especially GM Louie, were incredibly kind and accommodating. After a long drive, they allowed us to check in early with no extra fee, which was a huge relief. They even offered coffee for the road and made our service dog feel right at home. Having stayed here numerous times over the past couple of years, I was shocked to see some of the negative reviews ( I think people are confusing this with another location with a similar name). We have NEVER had a bad experience here, and our last visit this past week was no exception! We were greeted by Ray who promptly checked us in with a smile and offered to help with anything during our 4 day stay.
