When we first moved to Houma almost two years ago, we heard e'body tell us Big Al's was by far the best authentic bayou fresh Cajun food in the area. We were thrilled to see our fave Swamp Ppl a couple of times while eating there too, but here recently, I will say our last three to five visits, we have been sorely disappointed. Had a great experience today at Big Al's. Both the food and the service was great!! Very kid friendly as well. Highly recommend this place!!

Best place EVER!!!
In Houma for a little job training and came to Big Al's on a recommendation from the local microtel. Asked for a michelada and the bartender not knowing what that was gladly listened to my recipe (believe him name was Jordan maybe) A man approached me (the owner) and asked how dinner was and of course my fried alligator was 'good shit' he invited me over to sit with his wife, friends, and himself. Talk about southern hospitality! What a great local place with amazing local food! #goodshit
