Emergency department and psychiatry residents falsified documents in order to chemically and physically restrain me against my will for over 48 hours because I did not have insurance to be moved into inpatient. Once admitted, my attending psychiatrist and the hospital’s private legal representation wrote letters to Boston Municipal Court blocking my request for an emergency hearing before giving me an opportunity to speak to an attorney. I am very disappointed by the lack of compassion and competency in this department. I am pleased with all other services I received fro Beth Israel, but I can only describe this department as aloof. My pcp was associated with BIDMC, but he couldn’t get me care from this department. The end result is that I became disabled and had to leave work. I finally found a doctor through another hospital, but had to retire. I was given a neuropsych test through Beth Israel, but they refuse to release it to me. I am guessing it was just... read more
