These guys are great! I'm shocked by the negative review on this page because my experience with this shop has been superb. I took in a 10 year old Italian bike that I just received as a gift. The bike was not purchased from them but you'd never know it by the way I've been treated. These guys treat my bike like it's their own and me like their best customer. Great place I took my bike in because I had a problem with the seat--it was very loose and actually came off at one point. I took it to this shop in Georgetown because it was the only bike repair shop in the area that I actually knew of, but I am definitely glad that I went. I ended up getting my seat fixed within 24 hours and they were courteous and helpful. Also, it was inexpensive. I would definitely recommend going here for bike problems.
Expert advice and good service After shopping at 4 DC area bike shops, I recently purchased a mountain bike at Bicycle Pro Shop. The thing that led me to choose Bicycle Pro Shop was the patient, expert advice that I received from Taylor, one of their customer service reps. He is an experienced rider (as were the managers I interacted with) who consistently gave me objective and insightful advice. Also, while the store is very cramped, they did have the best inventory of high end bikes of any store I visited. And yes, the sho... read more
Terrible Bike Shop-Never go here Summary: At best, this shop is inconsistent. They have done a good job on small repairs such as truing wheels. However, on major work, don't expect, much, especially if you bought your $4000 Colnago from somewhere else. Specifically, I went in today to get the steerer tube on a Colnago Street Carbon fork cut-not a hard job you say. Unfortunately, it is at Bicycle Pro Shop. I had to drop it off and got it 8 hours later and all for a 10 minute job. I went there because they are the only Colnago... read more
