Bicycle Michael's scammed me by not telling me that they were charging me $5 a day to store bike parts that I had paid them to order and put together for me. They also did not tell me that unused bike parts that were purchased from them but never left the shop or were used were absolutely non-refundable under any circumstances. I’ve had plenty of flat tires fixed by Michael’s, quickly and without issue, at a fair price. I’ve been a customer for many, many years, but only for flat tires or small accessories. But... when I needed an actual repair... Sadly, they were very rude to me. I had a bike that needed repairs, and they refused to or were very reluctant to look at replacement parts, or give me repair estimates. They insulted me several times. If you're looking to get some wheels built, I can't recommend Bicycle Michael's enough. Tim Eskew is very knowledgeable and will keep you wheels in tip top shape for the life of your wheel. And when you drop in for an emergency true, Tim will have you tightened up and out the door in no time! 11/10 would recommend.

It’s been 35 years since I worked at The Chainwheel, but everything about Bicycle Michael’s was immediately familiar. The smell of new rubber, parts stacked neck deep, friendly people and excellent workmanship. This is an old-school bike shop in the very best way. Michael and Tim know what they’re doing. They don’t really know it yet, but they’ll be seeing a lot of me in the coming years.
