Title: Disappointing and Unprofessional Billing Practices After a Loss I am deeply concerned and frustrated with the financial department at Bickford. My family member, who was in their memory care unit, passed away on December 1st. Despite her passing on the first day of the month, Bickford charged us for the entire month of December—a very significant sum of money. My father lived at this facility for eight to nine months after my mother was no longer able to care for him at home. He was diagnosed with dementia. During that time, my mother consistently advocated for him to receive appropriate care. The day-to-day staff was responsive and helpful, and this review is not a reflection of their work.
