A technician by the name of Don Settle came out to my home for an ac repair. Don went above and beyond; I initially missed his phone call saying he was on his way. I called him back twenty minutes later, holding my breath, fearing I may have missed my service call and would be without my ac. I was having company and we were in a middle of a heat wave. Confirmation Number CAS-4293608 I requested service for my Gas Furnace to take place between 5pm and 9pm on March 4th. The Tech called and left a message at 3:17pm asking to come early. I worked until 4:30pm, made it home at 4:50pm. Waited from 4:50pm to 9:00pm with no other contact from the tech. I did not request service before 5pm because I would not be home. I have been a faithful customer for over 10+ years with BGE Home. The services were initially excellent; in which I referred many of my friends and family to the warranty program. Today I called because I'm having a issue with my kitchen faucet that they installed. They have been to my home at least two times to service the faucet because water is leaking at the bottom of the faucet and the faucet continuously has to be tighten. It's freezing in my house. The heating system has been down for 5 days so far. I'm the one who has to keep calling to put pressure on BGE to finish this HVAC job. This says that they have to many customers and are over extended, therefore now unreliable for any critical work. After being a customer for years, I'm done. They have provided the worst return on any service contract I've ever held.

I called BGE Home to come out and hook up the ice and water on a new refrigerator. First a guy comes out and tells me it may cost 1400 then two week later when they were suppose to come and hook it up they cancelled. Then a week later they had another guy come and hook it up it cost only 99 dollars as it was a 15 minute job since the lines were all ready in. Now two weeks later it is leaking and when I called was told I would have to pay another service fee to have them come back and tighten it up.. I am 78 year old lady... read more

BGE Home came out to check our heat pump for an issue that prevented it from running. The condenser fan failed and needed to be replaced. Fan had to be ordered but the urgency in getting the part seemed lacking on behalf of BGE Home. Before contacting BGE Home another company came out and gave an estimate that was more than i am willing to pay. This company was able to procure the part in 24 hours and said even if I didn't want to go with them they would stock the part and use at a later date. I find it disappointing... read more
