Always laid back and wonderful. My nine year old son, who eats almost nothing but mac and cheese and hot dogs, sometimes ventures as far as fried calamari, because he loves the fried batter. So it was a simple matter to persuade him to try it at B & G. It was revelatory; the scales fell from his eyes and he discovered how delicious it could be. Service was excellent. Oysters awesome. King crab very dry, not at all fresh more like defrosted flavor and texture. Crab cocktail loaded with goo so much so you could barely taste crab. Waiter was nice but did not reappear at our table and ask how food was. We had some time constraints so just paid (and left a good tip).
I loved my B&G experience. I appreciated Nick's attention to our reservation and soothing attitude when we were running late. And, the food!!! Incredible calamari gnocchi with lobster sauce; a very talented and wine-knowledgeable staff; and incredible dessert. We made a reservation to return to learn how to shucks oysters while hanging at the bar while drinking champagne! I can't wait.
The oysters, octopus, lobster rolls and staff were awesome! Would definitely recommend.
Outstanding service by friendly staff. I had a lobster roll and it was good, but the best I ever had but good. Plenty of lobster, taste of lemon, not traditional, loved the butter pickles on the side.
