Would not go here for help: Overall this office has not been the best experience with Therapy care. Which is very unfortunate due to this being a new thing for me to do and you guys were very discouraging when it comes to getting my mental health in line. First I go in for a new patient assessment and get seen by one therapist. We have a whole appointment and finally at the end I get told I am moving to a new therapist the following week. We engaged Rosa Ruales of Beyond Counseling to present to our members a discourse with Q&A, specifically on Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. The presentation and delivery were professional and helpful to everyone in attendance (both in-person and online - bonus points for the tech savvy team and process), and the facility is beyond beautiful and very peaceful. I look forward to having Ms. Ruales speak to our group again in the near future. Beyond Counseling truly does offer more than just counseling!
We were told the promised therapist could not see us. They stuck us with the intake person whome was unqualified except for their knowledge of Gottman Therapy. It was a nil experience of 8 sessions for both of us. Thrive Counseling down the street saved our marriage. I suggest getting a second opinion before dedicating to Beyond.
I’ve first scheduled with beyond Counseling in December of 2020 and since then, anytime I need to call the office, the reception is so kind and helpful and get back to you so quickly. I love my counselor, Gwendolyn. She’s so amazing, kind, and understanding. She’s helped me in so many ways and treating me using EMDR and talk therapy. I continue to see her and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made.
My family was in crisis mode. We were told by the receptionist that all the paperwork was done when I called the day before our appointment. I even called 3 times to pull up the session because things were so serious. When Angela the Therapist showed up she had a look of disgust on her face like she didn't even want to be there. Then to make matters worse the paper work was not done and the receptionist kept coming out for us to sign one more page...again and again.
