Before I had booked the appointment, I had a question. I called the shop and got a thoughtful and helpful answer. I went ahead and booked an appointment online. I have a 4 year old who is a nightmare when it comes time to get her hair done. I've had braiders ask me not to bring her back 🤦♀️.... But I brought her to Tasha and ... Essence was great , very skilled at what she does and very professional. The salon atmosphere was top tier , clean and relaxing and from the time I arrived I was treated kindly . I have to add it was great to see an atmosphere where the stylist were working together and setting one another for success. My next appointment is booked! If you are looking for a salon to help you reset and feel great look no further and Book :)
My first time there! It was a good experience. I needed some place comparable to my NY spots and this was up there! It’s clean, comfortable and pleasant! Not many people around looking at you! They go by appointment and don’t run too much behind, so you are not waiting forever! Tyonna did my weave and came out nice! I would definitely return!
This salon visit was a pleasant surprise! I’m so happy I found a spot that can do both my wash, condition, trims AND braided style! I care about the experience, and this was giving serene, welcoming, clean, and a sprinkle, well a lot of Black Girl Magic vibe! My stylist Ty was communicative, checked on me throughout the styling, and frequently shows me see the progress to ensure I was satisfied!!!! What a great way to kick off my first Friday of 2025 and baby my braids are! Thank you! See you next month!!!
Let me start off by saying that I have no problem with my hair whatsoever- I had it trimmed, straightened, and added pin curls and it looks great. My problem is with the price. I was charged $145 at the end of my appointment, with no heads up whatsoever. Ordinarily, I would have asked for a price beforehand, but I attended this salon exactly 2 years ago for the exact same services and was charged $85 (I have the digital receipt to prove it).
