I hate to say but i have a bad report to say, (never before) called before going to find out how late they were open told me till 6pm told them i was on my way. Got there little after 3pm and they had put a sign on the door they are closed. Pouring down rain with my items, lady sees me, told her i'm the one that called she said i know, and she wouldn't open back up, they just lost my business, i have name brand clothes that are in barely used condition and you tell me something like that, wow, i'm not a mean person but that'... read more
I've never had any issues bringing in items to consign. The staff, primarily young women, are busy but always nice and professional. Each time I come in to shop or check on how much I've sold, they know me by name. They have a play area in the middle of the store with a mounted TV that plays movies. My kids actually enjoy going to this store to shop. My items always sell quickly and the return is far better than dealing with shipping and the charges to sell on Ebay. The below reviews must be from the owner herself. Here in Ocala if you even mention the Monkey Cage you are quickly warned about the overly rude nasty owner and her employees who are also rude, but than again I've seen the way she treats them too, so I can't say I'd be nice if I were in their position either. I've been in there 3 times and that's enough, I'll never set foot in there again. The owner treats you like garbage! My wife and I were shopping around for props and clothing for the studio, and happened into The Monkey Cage, where we found some great accessories at a great price. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owners, who were very nice, and look foreword to working with them in the future. I highly recommend any one with a family with little ones to stop by and check out the great selection and prices at The Monkey Cage.
I am a single hard working father of 2. I came this store after a few coworkers told me to look there for good clothes at great pirces. They were right. I check there first now and have found a lot of clothes and shoes there. Now I even bring some of my kids stuff in there, they are very picky, biut I understand they want to keep it very nice.
We enjoy the MOnkey Cage kids store... as they have clean items. WE are in The Villages... adn can buy something there for our small grandchildren , then take it back to sell when we are finished .... or we can also rent a piece . THe people are wonderful too. Quite helpful .
This is a great store. I bought school uniforms as well as all the summer clothes for my kids! I will be back!
