Thank you to all of the wonderful nurses and doctors at this hospital. Dr.Bass, Dr. Jackson, Dr. Vogel, Dr. Patel, Nurse Ally and the other support nurses and staff did a remarkable job delivering our baby girl. Their teamwork and expertise saved her and I am forever grateful for all of them. You all are great at what you do and the Wilmington community is lucky to have you. Thanks again for delivering our baby safely through the hard times and making the right calls.
My husband and I couldn’t be anymore happier with how smooth the labor and delivery went. All the staff was very tentative and professional from the beginning of my check-in to my discharge. Out nurses Karly and Joelle from labor and delivery were awesome! Anything we needed they were there at all times. After my baby was delivered we were moved upstairs and the nurses there were great as well. I’m so glad we came to this hospital to have our baby boy.
Delivered 2 baby boys at Betty Cameron my second delivery was July of 2025 and anbsoluey remarkable Julie W was our nurse she was absolutely amazing she knew I wanted an unmedicated hands off physiological birth and truly respected that. She asked once about an epidural and as soon as I told her no she was very respectful of that I arrived at 8 cm water had not broken after 2 hours she offered nitros oxide and to have my water broken which is exactly what I needed. New Hanover exceeded my expectations. From the check in staff to the nurses and the providers, everyone was extremely kind and helpful. Everything was explained to us in a way that we would understand while also being careful not to make us feel incompetent. That was refreshing to experience such a level of respect from a medical team. Our baby was well taken care of and I didn't worry when I needed to leave the hospital to check on my other children, although we had to drive an hour and 45 minutes back and forth. Delivered my baby last week and I have no doubt that the success of my recovery has been due to the amazing care that I received from every single person that took care of us. Chivonne, Allison, Darbie, all the CNA’s, doctors and even the cleaning staff were incredible! It did take about four tries to get the epidural in and it was documented that it was only one attempt.
