Though it has streamlined aluminum and black-and-white tile, and the fare is inspired by diner cuisine, the ingredients are the freshest available and the dishes are prepared with care and imagination. A bit of await but worth it. Enjoy the shopping in the area. Great pasta, cheese and deli shop nearby. I recommend the scrapple at Bettie's and Manfred will make certain your table is there ahead of time
Our go to place for breakfast whenever we visit kids and grands in Berkeley/Oakland. Pancakes, any kind of eggs, bacon done perfectly crispy, fruit & yogurt, the Dutch pancake, let me count the ways. Friendly service. There's always a wait, but we think it's well worth it. Stop into their bakery next door for a treat to enjoy later.
