The crew at Betsey’s was SO KIND AND AWESOME to stay open all night for participants of the US adventure racing national championship. Probably literally saved multiple teams. A cold Coke was what I’d been dreaming of for hours! Thank you!!
Off the beaten path, where fresh air and country hospitality meet @ the intersection of NC Hwy 90, and Brown Mountain Beach Rd.
The cabin was cozy, the bed was comfortable and Bruce was an awesome host. A perfect spot to stay while we hiked the surrounding trails.
Good food, good friends and Great Music!
Excellent selection of snacks, cold drinks, hot coffee, bagged ice, and camping "I forgot to brings." Most days they have hotdogs on the rollers and during the peak months offer burger plates with chips and a drink at lunchtime. Saturdays are host to live music on the stage behind the store, and if there isn't a band on the schedule you might still luck out to a banjo or guitar solo on the front porch.
