They talk a big game on their website, but the program lacks adherence to most of the standards that are supposedly required by their NIMRC certification. Was not adequately connected to any form of rehousing, their concept of helping involves giving-already stressed out-clients a printout of undervetted or outright unverified resources for clients to call instead of navigating those resources as would be suggested by the certification and Bethlehem Haven's own website. I was referred by another awful " homeless" resource. I called to ask about services and they laughed in my face. I hope these people who work here get to experience homelessness and it comes full circle.
Had a good experience. Was so very thankful for this place and the staff. It was nice and clean. Was treated well. I got along with everyone there. The food wasn't great but they usually had snacks and coffee/tea to grab throughout the day which i appreciated so much. The staff definitely helped with what they could when they could.
I can only give my opinion on the respite part, most of the staff is awesome. Food sucks, some things need to be changed but for the most part the Workers actually seem to care about most of the people who are there trying to get help.
Was there. Unless you have a full time job, and it’s nightshift, you can’t stay inside during the day. If you have any disability? Regarding mobility? They don’t care get outside. They used to have bed bugs. No outside food or drink, which isn’t too bad. Don’t go here if you have any type of neurodivergence. All the housing managers do is repeat the same crap you already did to try to qualify for stuff.
