This office building is the last vestige of Bethesda Psychiatric Hospital, which was began as a sanatorium for tuberculosis in 1895. The psychiatric hospital closed in 1997, and the buildings were converted into the new campus of the Denver Academy, a fine private school. The Bethesda Professional Office Building is still the headquarters for various helping professionals - psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers.
