Update: My family and I have stayed at this hotel quite a few times since it’s close to the train into NYC. This hotel has really gone downhill. There’s barely anyone at the front desk anymore. When there is someone there, they don’t even look up from whatever they’re looking at. When I arrived at the hotel one evening, the older gentleman at the front desk looked at me, didn’t even acknowledge that I had entered the hotel and walked away. Great place to stay, clean and spacious rooms, a fantastic team - I had the pleasure of talking with Emil and Wiktoria, who are very helpful and do their jobs excellently with a smile. So many things wrong.. there is a mildewy odor to the room and staircase, mold on the inner lid of the ice bucket (see photo), front staff not very welcoming just does the bare minimum, they charged my credit card twice for my stay - I did use a third party website to book (expedia) so not only did they get payment from them, they charged my credit card a second time at checkout. Be aware and check your charges!! Positives - excellent location, breakfast was good and complimentary.

This hotel is in a great location, but after my last stay I will not be returning. The room was not clean and smelled strongly of mildew, the bed was worn and sunk in the middle, and the "view" out the window was a dumpster and the train tracks. If I opened the window to deal with the mildew smell, the train woke me up, and if I closed it, the AC sounded like a plane taking off and the mildew smell was overwhelming.
