My husband went in and reserved a room on the 1st floor, because I'm handicapped, at approximately 8am. He paid for everything and gave me the paperwork that showed we would be in room 103. I show up at 3pm to get the key and was informed that they had given the room to someone else instead. So they moved us to a room on the 2nd floor. Ok fine I'll deal because they have an elevator. ROACHES! EVERYWHERE! We booked this hotel last minute through booking.com. We checked in at 1am on Friday, walking in our room, flipped the lights on and roaches scattered! We requested a full refund at the front desk and he told us we would have to go through booking.com to get a refund. We still have not gotten a refund because this hotel will not respond to phone calls or emails. My family of 4 slept in our car that night. DO NOT STAY HERE!
I enjoyed my stay
It's a nice hotel and offers a competitive rate. The staff is friendly. They have a complimentary breakfast..pancakes, biscuits and gravy, sausages, fruit, cereal, toast, juice. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. It's also pet friendly. Completely non-smoking which some think is good but myself I miss hotels that allow smoking in your room.
First off, we found this location through Expedia. At no point on the website does it say that there's a $100 deposit, in fact, it says what you see is what you pay. Now the smell, good lord, that cannot be healthy. It slaps you in the face before even walking inside the doors....and don't think it gets better, because it does not. The pool hours were only communicated to us after we paid and got our key cards...8 pm??? , I'm sorry, 8 pm? We don't pay to stay somewhere with a pool for our night's to be shut down at 8 pm.
