This was one of the few hotels in the Mt. Hood area that allowed reservation on a website and was more affordable than the Timberline lodge. However, the location is not very convenient for getting a view of the peak when it was cloudy during our entire stay, and is far from food/stores/civilization. The TV did not work and the shower water stayed cold. Finally, we were woken up at 9:45, prior to our 11am checkout by knocking on the door. I stayed here for one night while on vacation, and I had a very good experience. It is nice, quiet hotel in Government Camp (a small town on Mount Hood not far from the Timberline Lodge) that is the best value for the area. Very nice breakfast room, with great free breakfast options (including a fresh pancake maker). There are great dining options just down the road as well. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The only complaint I had about the room was the bathroom. The sink is outside of the bathroom in the bree... read more
