Best Western is a reliable chain and this location represents. My stay was very pleasant in a clean cold room in the August heat. The staff were friendly and helpful with me and my needs. I really appreciated they accommodated me with the downstairs room too.
We were visiting friends in Kirbyville and Jasper was the closest town. Since hotels were scarce, we decided to go with the best rate. Best Western it was. The hotel is in a super sketchy area, so for it to be as nice as it was, was shocking. The rooms were meh. Nothing to write home about so I’m leaving this review instead. The free breakfast was, well, less than. However, the people were nice and friendly. It’s an ok place to sleep, but don’t expect too much.
Just the worst, as soon as we were going to bed the cockroaches started coming out on the floor and walls. Just super gross. The ac barely works in the sense that it's cooler than it is outside in a heat wave. The faucet leaks if you turn it on more than a dribble. The bathroom is dirty, there's a stain on the sheets from someone else. Won't be staying here again, it's a joke how bad it was.
It was okay for a one night stay. The rooms looked better than expected.
