I stayed here for 2 days and the day of I’m checking out I wake up scratching myself. I wake up to find out I got bit by bed bugs. My arms were swelled up with bed bugs bites. I went to the front office and told them about it but she didn’t offer a free stay or a refund of my stay. I don’t know what to do in these type of situations cause this isn’t my first rodeo with a hotel that had bed bugs.

The hotel room was very clean and met my needs. My only issue is that this hotel has most of the rooms as exterior access. I didn't know this prior to arriving as I didn't see it anywhere on the booking form. It also doesn't have any elevators. I didn't need a handicapped room but I would have preferred to be on the first floor if I had known that I would have to lug all our stuff up a flight of exterior stairs and midway down the building. If you know this ahead of time you can book accordingly.

There is simply no reason to stay anywhere else when in Hickory NC, these people are awesome! Ive never been treated so well at a hotel before! Theresa, John, and Amelia are super stars and now that im spoiled it going to be hard to stay anywhere else! The entire staff from hospitality to the cleaning staff are perfect! Kudos Best Western, you better keep this entire crew, a combo like this is rare as chicken lips! Lol

Stayed at the hotel for one night. I was assigned a room at the back of the hotel that was not connected to the main hotel. It smelled strongly of mold and did not appear to be safe since it was isolated. I returned to the front desk and insisted that I receive a different room in the main hotel. The clerk attempted to charge me extra because she said that the rooms in the main hotel were nicer. I refused to pay more and she finally agreed not to charge me. I booked my room through a third party website that ultimately did not properly coordinate the booking. The hotel front desk staff were incredibly kind and patient with the difficulties I experienced booking. They were extremely helpful and showed top-notch service. I am grateful because they made a difficult trip much less stressful.
