Update: The business eventually contacted me, explained that they felt my Papillon's coat was sufficiently matted that shaving was necessary, and offered me a full refund. I appreciate that they followed up and took responsibility for my dissatisfaction. I was aware that he had some matting, particularly behind his ears, which is why I had asked for those areas to be dealt with. Very disappointed with the grooming my Papillon received. The haircut was extremely short, uneven, and poorly done, with large areas clipped almost down to the skin. There was also visible skin damage on one of his legs after the appointment. This was not what I asked for. I specifically asked them to shave/remove the knots behind his ears where necessary. We dropped my dog off around 11:00 a.m. on Sunday and returned to pick her up at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. We were surprised to be told that we would be charged for three full days of boarding because we picked her up in the afternoon. They told us that this policy had been explained beforehand, but it was not.
