Not a Motel This place came very highly recommended by several friends, I'm not sure what I expected but when I got there, it wasn't what I had envisioned. The place is very clean, well taken care of, but its like a giant indoor kennel with doggie doors for the animals to run in and out of when they need to go to the bathroom. My dog didn't know how to use the doggie door, water runs from a faucet type thing which she didn't have any clue how to use. Pet Motels The first time I left Daisy in this pet motel I was upset the whole time we were gone, was she eating, was she okay, etc. They took fabulous care of her, she even got a progress report. She didn't eat to well the whole time we were gone but they made extreme efforts to get her to eat and she was very well taken care of, I would not hesitate to take her back again.
The Ritz-Carlton for Pets I drive a long way to board my dog at American Pet Motel. They have excellent kennels, are very open with the premises, and guarantee that your pet will be returned in great condition. You can also order extra treats, like doggie ice cream, for your pet during its stay! It is definitely more expensive, but the peace of mind is worth it.
Best Friends I have been taking Max to doggie day care at Best Friends for over a year and he loves it!! Max gets so excited when we walk in and the staff greet him by name, he has to give everyone a lick before going back to play. The staff is very well trained and is patient and loving to all the animals visiting the facility. The animals are in a clean, safe environment. doggy day care! My dog loves doggy day care here. He enjoys playing all day with his dog friends. He loves the staff and gets so excited when we get in the car and head the direction of Best Friends. It is so nice when he is tired at the end of the day, it keeps him very happy. it is also nice that he can stay here and board and I always know that he is well taken care of. The cleanest and most caring kennel he has ever been to.
Would not recomend After visiting BF daycare I was very upset. My dog has been to several daycares in different cities and I have never had a complaint. After taking him home for the day, he cowarded when I bent to pet him as if I was going to him. He has NEVER done this before. The whole night there was something weird about his behavior. He also was wet, covered in urine when I picked him up. The dogs do not go outside the entire day and are kept in a very small room.The staff is also ill prepared in handing so many dogs. ... read more
Nice safe place to board This resort is clean and safe. The best part about it is that you can have your dog trained while they are being boarded. Its great to drop your puppy off while you go away for a week and come back to find that they know sit and stay!
Can't say enough..... We have used Best Friends Pet Care in Charlotte NC for 5 years. We started with 1 dog (Manda) and have added a second (Nova) to our pack. They both LOVE going to Day Camp several times a week and playing with their friends and the counselors. They come home exhausted! And we all know, a tired dog is a happy dog :-). Better than a kennel Best Friends Resort is a step up from the old kennels, where dogs were kept in cages and not socialized. They offer cageless daycare, which allows the dogs to learn to interact with other dogs. It is a big business and there are a LOTS of dogs. When my son and I toured the facility, one of the cages, located in the boarding section, was left open. The dog was OK, but it was a second tier cage. I found this very troublesome.
