On my first visit, he asked me if I was crazy after looking at my meds. NO EMAPHY AND NO BEDSIDE MANNER.

Zero empathy, and actually tells you he only thinks of you when you walk thru his door. He see's you as a means to an end, a billable client. He gets more callous and dismissive with every passing year. Sorry if the truth hurts. Write yourself a prescription.

I’m concerned about my increasingly senile husband, and Dr. Bernstein is dismissive of my concerns. I first told him 6.5 years ago that there was a “change in mental status”, as recommended by my NP daughter. He was dismissive then, and he is dismissive now. There has been no continued hearing tests, cognitive tests, and no treatment—just straight downhill mentally, due to his lack of care. A coworker recommended Dr. Bernstein as a family practitioner. At my first appointment to establish, he was friendly and knowledgable. He consulted with a specialist for one specific question I had and called me the next day with a researched answer.

Dr. Bernstein was my physician for several years. During that time we had multiple discussions regarding my weight. He said that he could not understand why other people had trouble maintaining a normal weight since this was not difficult for him. He also said that he did not care about me as a person but did care about me as a patient. I learned from other patients that he had spoken in a similar unprofessional manner to them. I view him an insensitive and arrogant.

Dr. Bernstein is fantastic. He is informative, empathetic, smart and thorough. I am an internist as well, so I think I know a thing or two about what makes a good doctor. Dr. Bernstein is a great doctor.

He was Dr to my premature baby that I brought in for a wellness visit. I told him I was concerned about vaccines at that visit because she had a cold and respiratory infection. His response was that my baby would be fine even though CDC specifically states not to give vaccines when a child is sick. If born on time, vaccines would not have been due for another two months and instead of listening he shrugged me off and asked me to sign a paper saying I was willfully harming my baby by declining.

Dr. B is wonderful with our baby! He is always very attentive to her and to us, answers all of our questions thoroughly and examines our baby very thoroughly. You never feel rushed or like you don't have his undivided attention. He is very good about callbacks as well. Every time we have called with a question, a nurse has called us back within 15-20 minutes. We love that he specializes in both family and pediatric medicine. We would recommended anyone to him, for your baby or yourself!
