I made a consultation appointment through their website. I specifically wanted a spine specialist affiliated with HSS. After making my appointment I received an email from the doctor’s office manager asking me questions about my medical history and asking if I was sure I needed surgery (isn’t that what the doctor should determine?). It seemed like I was being interviewed on whether I would be worthy of this doctor’s time. I cancelled the appointment and I believe I dodged a bullet.
Bedside manner is rude, stern and unsympathetic. Asked why were there and was uninterested in the reason. We were there for a second opinion and he got in an argument with us then told us to go back tom our original doctor.
